I am looking at control arms, and some say they will work on 79-98, and some say they will work on 79-04? Anyone have any ideas what the diffrences are?

Sorry for the misspelling of differences in the topic.(I went to public school)

99-04's use a larger dia. bolt on the lower's. most (if not all) control arms that say they'll fit 79-04 wouln't due to the bolt hole size in the lower bushing (you'd need to use a smaller dia. bolt & would have slop in the axle mount hole's & also the touque box hole's). if you have a 99-04 you need 99-04 specific lower's.

Also, most companies will probably make the swap for you when you purchase the part. Alot of places don't bother telling you about the small details like that because they make sure they grab the right one when you order. Its part of why they always ask what year and model your car is when you buy alot of parts.
