Good morning all. New member here. Recently purchased an 04 GT. It (supposedly) has a motor from an 07 crown Vic. Long story short the alt. is not charging the battery. The plug is a 3 wire with only 2 hooked up to the wire loom. Alternator is new. I do have a loose motor to frame ground. Will try that first when I get home. Any thoughts or insight would be greatly appreciated. I have done some research but the crown Vic motor in the stang is kind of specific. Anyways thanks in advance for any help.

Check that ground and make sure the connector is pushed in all the way. I had a no charge issue and it turned out to be one of the pins was just barely backing out of the connector.

It was definitely not clicked in when I started examining it. Pretty sure I heard a click on my last attempt to get it in there. I will double check when I get home. I had the alternator output checked after the click in.Thank you for the suggestion. I truly appreciate it.
