when i turn the dimmer switch on my headlights it's very sensitive and the dash lights will go off if turned all the way on. in order to have any dash lights at all, i need to play with it and get it in the right spot and even then it's very dimmed down. my guess is that the dimmer part of the headlight switch is bad so should i just replace the headlight switch? or do you think it's something else?

Just let you know, Look at the new headlight switch.
See that little button on the back side from were the wires connect.

On a 1967 it is easy, Just remove the instrument panel.

You have to push that on the old one to get the headlight switch knob out.
Then use a big flat blade to unscrew the retainer bolt out.

Good Luck

quick question
i was going to order a new one from advance auto and they gave me two option. one with a bracket and one without a bracket. which one is it? if i had access to my car right now i would pull it off and check, however i dont currently have access because i am at school right now
details on my car: stock, inline 6, 3speed manual

here are the two different options
Advance Auto Parts: Headlight Switch by BWD - Part S404
and
Advance Auto Parts: Switch - Headlight by BWD - Part S422

the second one does not look right to me from what i remember
