Just got this 2003 MAch and noticed someone had dented the oil pan. Zdoesn't seem to be any issues with leaks or oil pressure. Just curious how deep the pick up tub e is on these motors?

As long as theres good normal oil pressure and no noise from the crank smacking the pan id say ur good? How deep of a dent we talkin here? Id almost replace it maybe even with a used salvage one just for the piece of mind. But thats just my .02

Yea how deep is the dent? And where on the pan is it?

It's a crease that runs across the lowest point on the sump. My guess is might be 1/2" at the most. I was concerned about restricting the flow to the pickup. No telling when this happened as I just bought the car and the damage was done who knows how long ago.

Any change? I just rebuilt my motor for my Mach 1 had it running had to break it down because of a timing issue. Put it back together slowly lost oil pressure. But I realized my pan was dented and not sure if this could be the issue.
