if its actual braided stainless, clamping wont suffice, its got a stiffer inner section. If you are going to use it, use it properly

Ok.

Do i have to ABSOLUTELY use stainless steel braided lines fuel?????? The only time it'll see street driving is going to be to and from the track.

no, you can use rubber lines, just make sure if its fuel injected use the high pressure stuff, or they also sell aluminum line that comes in coils, can stretch it out and use it in one or two pieces with min fittings

You can get hose clamps over braided line to pass tech and not leak if you're using barbed fittings, though I wouldn't just slip it over a piece of tubing. Another cheaper alternative to AN fittings is to use industrial JIC fittings - same thread, not quite aircraft grade tolerances but suitable for a car.
