Never really agreed with Joe Walsh and some stuff he pulled some years back but on current matters and with the current President he seems about spot on with some of the assessments and personal conclusions on him. Wonder if since he didn’t “fall in” with the usual defense of everything the current President and admin does I wonder if now all of a sudden he will be labeled a RINO. I know the way things can be in the current political and social climate no matter the person speaking or whatever they are sayin as soon as certain networks are seen simply doing the interviews some will turn away.

According to the polls Walsh doesn't have a chance. Personality aside, 85% of Republicans like what Trump is doing. I'm more in the 15% but I still consider Trump better than the alternative. And with Biden falling in the polls, he is far better than the socialist candidates that might win the Democrat primary.

Walsh turned me off at the beginning. Presidents don't pass budgets, Congress does. Presidents submit a budget request. Congress then agrees or disagrees but they change a lot of stuff. The President's sole authority is the veto.

Scaramucci wants to get Republicans back on track. So would I. Unfortunately his view of getting back on track is getting someone likeable in charge. I didn't hear him talk too much about policy.

I really don't care about Amash. He's not from my state. But this isn't the first time people have changed parties. The entire South used to be Democrat. There was a saying in Kentucky that if you ran a yellow dog against a Republican the yellow dog would win. It had been that way for over 100 years. Ronald Reagan did not have a Republican majority in Congress. He was able to get things done because the conservative Boll Weevil Democrats broke away from New England and California liberals and sided with Reagan. This was the beginning of a mass exodus of conservative Democrats from the party.

I really liked Reagan. He is the reason I switched from independent to Republican. That and you could run a yellow dog against a Democrat in Indiana and the yellow dog would win.

Ronald Reagan, a conservative Republican, was governor of California before he ran for president. Look how different California is now. That is why those that can are now leaving the state. Socialism has failed everywhere it has been tried and it is on the edge of failure in California. It will fail when enough of those who pay the bills leave and California goes broke.

"By abandoning the Kurds we have sent the most dangerous signal possible — America is an unreliable ally and it's just a matter of time before China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea act out in dangerous ways."

Can you guess which Democrat said this?

Odd thing is my wife would hear bits and pieces of what Shepard Smith would say sometimes when I would try to hear all of the media channels out bc her ppl only tune into Fox News and she figured months ago that he was gonna get fired bc he doesn’t seem to fall in line with the same narrative and talking points that the viewers would seemingly like to see.

Seems like he has decided to leave the network for a few reasons after 2+ decades of being there.

LAYIN' DOWN THAT MUTHAFUCKIN' GREAT AND UNMATCHED WISDOM

If anything shows how unfit this idiot is for the office this should be it but all the Trump ass kissers will support it. Perfect example is someone like Lou Dobbs. He is so up Trumps ass it's incredible. For him to admonish Steve Scalise for voting with the Democrats on Syria shows the blind allegiance that is so prevalent in the GOP today. An issue that is so obviously egregious yet there are still Republicans that are so fearful that Trump might tweet negatively about them is not only cowardly but also a disservice to the oath they took.

Hard to defend that one. He should have at least included some yes/no checkboxes and a P.S. to "write back soon."

☐ Yes. I promise to be cool now.
☐ No. I'm going to keep being a douchebag.

FAKE NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ABC News Apologizes For Airing Fake Bombing Video During Report on Syria
CHARLIE NASH OCT 14, 2019 1:09 PM

ABC News showed a fake video purportedly showing the bombing of Syria by Turkish forces, Sunday, before apologizing for its mistake.

The video, aired on ABC’s World News Tonight, with anchor Tom Llamas’ claiming that the footage showed “Turkey’s military bombing Kurd civilians in a Syrian border town.” The video, however, was not from Syria as reported, but instead “a military gun demonstration in Kentucky that was published to YouTube in 2017,” according to Gizmodo.

ABC News apologized for airing the video, Monday, and it was taken down from YouTube and ABC News’ website.

“We’ve taken down video that aired on ‘World News Tonight Sunday’ and ‘Good Morning America’ this morning that appeared to be from the Syrian border immediately after questions were raised about its accuracy,” an ABC News spokesman told Mediaite. “ABC News regrets the error.”

Further, an ABC News source tells Mediaite that the investigation into how the footage made it to air is ongoing.

Are we implying that Turkey is not attacking the Kurds after we pulled out here? Because I'm pretty sure Trump's recall of troops and the resulting attack by Turkey within 24 hours after is most definitely not fake news.

****, at least ABC is apologizing and fixing their mistake (since you obviously don't know the actual definition of "fake news" as established before Trump co-opted the term for his own use and convinced all of his devout simpleminded followers to do the same). What does your president and his cabal of dipshits do when they get caught spreading fake news? Oh wait, that's right, they gaslight you by telling you they didn't say what they said with video evidence and then double down over and over and over and over and over and over again and yet you continue to swallow it all as if they're the arbiters of truth.

It's depressingly incredible what you're capable of convincing yourself, really.

I hate to belabor the point, but all of the academic arguments simply don't apply here. There is no known formula to dissolve the Trump teflon coating. Trump makes the people in Heartland America feel like we matter again. That's going to continue to outweigh everything else.

Yes, there's that word: "feel"

It just shows that a vast majority of voters don't actually hold any principles and only care about "feelings".

I believe the word conceived for these individuals by the new right wing of this country is "snowflakes"

And again: so. much. irony.

The fact that these individual "feel" that a born-into-wealth, narcissistic, wannabe-dictator "billionaire" is the guy to give a **** about them makes the irony that much more hilarious.

Which principles do you think (Trump) voters lack? Could we simply differ on what we believe the role of government should be, or do we have to be awash in our silly right-wing feelings? Please do explain ...
