Basically they are getting the exhaust coil to fire with the first coil . Mileage and power gains are claimed (by some) . I've only seen this on the Ranger sites . The Rangers have a much bigger 2.3/2.5 following . Some have said racers have been doing this for 20 years . Seems like a good idea . Anyone who knows better please chime in .

Its a myth. It does not help power, drivability, or mileage.

I thought that might be the case but you can fool yourself into thinking it's helping . I swear that when I wash my car it runs better . It's vanity that makes me feel like it's running better . It feels so good to get home and take a bath and throw on a clean set of clothes .

Lol, yeah, you can convince yourself of just about anything if you try hard enough. My understanding of the dual coil setup is that one coil pack fires 10* before the other, so switching them around (if I'm right) would actually cause it to run worse.
