On a Mustang dyno. Sorry bro, not trying to bash you, but something doesnt seem right. I think you have easily 25-30 more rwhp out of that car.
hey I know that's why I wrote ths tread didn't realy seem right to me but idk runs good and strong, yea I got the right cams havnt had time to finish hookin the kit up or fill the bottle so no spray yet, and I heard a dynojet reads a little lower than a mustang dyno? True? Or no way?? There is a huge diffrents now that it's tuned...

How are you at 3,000 rpm at 60? I have 410 in my auto and I think at 3,000 I am at 80mph. About the overdrive I drive to Cali once a month and its 4 hours and I go 75mph and my trans is fine. If you plan on doing alot of drag racing and you have a converter you will hump 5 speeds and there going to have to catch you in the 1/4.
I have 3.90's and a manual valve body three speed in third I'm at 3,000 at 60 cuz my over drive burnt up butwhen it was workin at 60 I was around 2,000 or so.. Aod tranny not a full on auto sorry bout the confusion

If he has longtube headers, he definatley has a good chance of hitting 300rwhp. Idk, somethings not right on his car. Only 260rwhp with cams??? and headers??

I made 267 rwhp/ 301rwtq recently, bolt-on's only. I have a set of HiTech Stage II camshafts still sitting in the box, just need to save up enough money for labor + timing chain replacement/tensioner replacement.
You see I don't know how your pulling off these dyno numbers. You literally gave 30 rwhp over me with the difference being that you have an aluminum driveshaft and tb/plenum. That difference is at most 10 rwhp. Your dyno has to be reading high.

diffrent dyno's read diffrently. my bud in his auto mach (bolt-ons) made 305rwhp on one dyno a week later took it to another shop and was dyno'd at 291rwhp. the reason he dyno'd again was to see what diffrence it made by switching from flowmasters to magnaflows (4 rwhp diff. 291 before, 295 after)

Its what im saying. I do want to see his MPH in the 1/4 to see if he really is putting down what he is saying. :)

most 5spds are around 300.

trevor made 300
texas01 gt made 294 with no udp's
jayc made 287

all 5spd. i just don't see 300 (same number 5spds are making) with an auto
Yea but he shouldnt be 25-40 less rwhp because hes an auto man. 260rwhp isnt right for full bolt on, full exhaust (again...assuming he has Long Tubes) and cams. Thats not right at all. BTW UDP's really dont do anything, they free up 2-3rwhp. Unless your looking to get every single horsepower out of the car, I wouldnt even bother.

Im telling you man, you easily have another 20rwhp in that thing.

Nostang - Did you have the car dyno'd? or Dyno Tuned? And do you have longtube headers or shorty headers?

I dont know man, that doesnt sound right. I could believe the 240rwhp if your air fuel ratio was way off. But man, Im not trying to sound like I have the best mustang at all, but I have 261rwhp with only the mods in my sig...

I know a guy on AFM Forums, he has an auto GT, basically the same exact mods as me except he has an off road x, and UDP (no headers or cams) and dynoed at 259rwhp.

So something doesnt sound right man, you should try to see another tuner. You live in Texas? What place did you go to for a dyno tune?

You might be running lean. Did it say on the dyno sheet? Whats your AFR? Just with my mods, but AFR was like 14.5:1 or 15:1...I think not 100% sure. I think 13:1 is great right?

Try finding a local Mustang shop, I promise you they'll tell you theres more in your car and your numbers seem to be alittle low.

Our local Mustang shop uses the DynoJet, and the guy who does the tuning has been working on stangs for years.

My last run was 283 RWHp and 300 ft-lbs torgue. My 99 Gt has the mods listed in my signature. I'm shooting for 300 RWHP with N/A. I have a few more mods to add, Professional Products Typhoon intake manifold and fuel rails, and aluminum driveshaft. Next will be the electric water pump, hope that gets to the magic mark.
