I changed out my lifters and when I pulled the valve cover I had to force the EGR module to the firewall VS removing it. It was loose to a degree and moved out of the way. Now I have an exhaust leak there and its driving me nuts.

If I delete will I get a trouble light or code?

How is it done? Plug the manifold port with a plate, cap the vac port and plug the exhause maniford hole?

What do I do with the sensor? Let the wire hang?

Where can I get the EGR tube, Ford?

Fairly sure its at the bottom near the exhaust manifold.
The tube has play down there. Visually it looks fine.
The sound is like a tapping. I thought wristpin or lifter (theye are btrand new NAPA replacements)

My buddy fired up his XR4Ti to show what a bad lifter sounded like. It was different, we went for a ride and he said he was 100% it was an exhaust leak.
Guy really knows 2.3s but he's a turbo/hotrodder guy. Didn't have an extra tube for me to swap in.

At this point I am debating delete or fix. (new tube)
An EGR valve itself at NAPA is $159

"Plug the manifold port with a plate, cap the vac port and plug the exhause maniford hole?"
thats what most people do from what i hear . It will throw a code . but doesn't do much else.
some people say it helps others argue that !?
