Alright guys so I got home today and pulled up the emergency brake and the bolt that holds it to the body or whatever pulled straight through. I have no idea why it happened but don't even know where to start as far as fixing it goes. Didn't even yank it hard just pulled it up like always. imgur: the simple image sharer

Please help me, don't know if it needs to be fixed or what.

That is somewhat common. You have to weld the square nut back into the sheet metal. Or you can replace the shitty square nut with a bolt and some washers to cover the hole.

It's happened to me twice first time I tacked it in. Second time I cut a
Square hole in some 1/8" steel the size of the nut. Then welded the nut to the steel and then to the sheet metal of the car.

Alright doesn't sound too bad, i'm definitely no mechanic but I think I can handle that. So that's not what holds the emergency brake line?

It's the nut for the stud that holds the e brake handle down to the frame of the car.
