Hello all,

First time posting, just want to get some advice.

I have a 96 GT and was getting ready to do my PI head swap, (I have all the parts except the heads). Would it be more worth it to engine swap to a 4.6 4V DOHC from a Lincoln aviator I found, or just continue on doing my Pi head swap. I understand dropping the 4V in will make me just over 300 horse while continuing with the swap will give my engine around 270. My main question would be... Is it worth the time and the money to swap over to a 4V or just take the easier and less powerful route by just swapping my cylinder heads to the PI ones?

Thanks

do the 4v swap if you have the motor. I did a PI swap but also used a new lower block and its fast but not fast enough

It all depends on what you want out of it. Personally, I think whichever you can find or collect the parts for cheaper. 30 hp really isnt much. A second hand set of aftermarket comp 262ah's or other camshaft will get you basically even with the 4v. So it comes down to what you can find at a better deal.
