In short, I want more performance out of my pony.
2008 Ford Mustang V6 4.0
Automatic
Just under 18,500 miles

My current modification list (staying under $5,000).

Performance
True Duel Exhaust
Cold Air Intake
Handheld Tuner
Lowering Springs
Camber Plates
And from here I pretty much start to draw blanks on what to get...I thought of having the engine rebuilt by my friend for about $1500 into a 4.2L Stroker, but I have heard mixed opinions about it causing damage to the engine.

don't worry about the bolt ons and start saving for a power adder....if you don't want to feel disapointed then that's the only route to take a v6..

I'd say get an 8.8 rear and put the rest towards F/I

Yeah start with the big ticket item, then do the smaller fine tuning things.

So based off of your feedback this is what I am doing first
*Rebuild engine into a 4.2L or 4.3L Stroker and add performance camshaft and heads?
By the way, what parts should I look at?

Next
*Cold air intake, exhaust, headers, and hand held tuner.

Wanting to keep the engine rebuild around $3,000.

I would bother with the stroker part. Just get a good FI system and have fun plus save a bunch of money!
