are they actually needed? are they structural at all? one of mine has some good rust and i am wondering if i can just cut them out

if you intend to race and cage it, i dont see why you do need them. keep in mind its what holds your front fascia. if you drive on the streets, your car is a hazzard to yourself as the have crush zones to absorb energy in a crash. so for a track only car, rebrace to hold your rad support and strut towers, if not, needs new sheet metal and only a licensed body technician can do frame work as it is considered structural.

the parts that are missing so you can see the tires is what i am talking about

mine on my truck were destroyed in an accident, and when we rebuilt the front i forgot to order them but I wont drive it when its raining, and it gets dirty a hell of a lot faster in there

Just weld in some 18 gage sheet metal in there place or make aluminum plates to cover the ugly.

It will take a lot to cover all the ugly in that pic.(LOL)

its a shame your so far away or i would say we could race. your about 5hrs away
