Unbelievable. While Horowitz's investigation found no clear evidence of political influence in the documents (FBI files) he also testified that his team never got an acceptable explanation for the 17 "errors." I put quotes around errors because they were far more than that.

1. Upon review, FBI lawyers said there was not enough information to get a FISA warrant.

2. The FBI investigators then included information from the Steele Dossier. That alone made up the difference and the later discredited Steele Dossier became the basis for the warrant on Carter Page.

3. From the beginning, Carter Page should not have been investigated. He was a CIA source and was reporting everything to the CIA. He was working with our government not against it. If this had been reported the FBI did not have predicate information.

4. That and the FBI got the first FISA warrant by lying to the court (through omission) by not telling the court the Steele Dossier was bought and paid for by the Clinton Campaign. It was also pointed out that the fourth highest boss in the DOJ, Bruce Ohr's, wife worked for Fusion GPS and worked with Steele. After the FBI determined Steele was not a reliable source, Ohr continued passing information from Steele to the FBI, which they continued to use. His superiors at DOJ were not told that the information was being filtered in through Ohr.

5. Steele began shopping his report to various media outlets. He said in a British court that he was Yahoo's source.

5. Before the second application for a FISA warrant, the FBI investigated Steele's single source of information. They had been told by British Intelligence that Steele was unreliable. Steele's only source of information said the Dossier was complete crap. He said he didn't have any direct knowledge and that a lot of the information was rumors he heard in a bar.

6. The second FISA application was based on a lie. The FBI told the court that Steele's source was found to be credible in such a way as it seemed to confirm the Dossier. They never said it completely countered it.

7. At the same time an FBI lawyer got a confirmation e-mail that Carter Page was indeed a CIA source. He altered the e-mail to say that Carter Page was not a CIA source. That is without a doubt a direct lie and he presented the falsified document to the FISA Court. According to a later report charges will be filed against that lawyer.

8. On top of all of this the FBI knew that Russia was trying to screw with our election. They definitely want to create disharmony. The FBI gave what is called a "defensive briefing" to the Clinton Campaign warning them. They pretended to brief the Trump Campaign but used the briefing as a means to spy on them.

You honestly cannot make this stuff up. It really is unbelievable.

Note: I was presenting facts. They also discussed the background of the investigators who all had sent out e-mails stating how they hated Trump and were part of the resistance.

But but but CNN said.... :no

I knew when all the facts came out, it would show unprecedented corruption, lawlessness and basically they tried to remove Trump by making up fake conspiracies.

I’ve lost almost all trust in the Federal Govt due to all this corruption and criminal activity.

A lot of Govt folks need to be going to prison for this crap!

Socialist, you have your head stuck in the sand. The information provided in this thread is not from Trump. It is from today's testimony of the FBI IG. He and his team just completed a 400+ page report. It is absolutely unbelievable what those individuals did.

Please note: I said individuals. Perhaps I have my head stuck in the sand but I don't believe the FBI itself is corrupt. It was said a couple of times that the FBI line managers did not forward the information upward. The fault at the top was to pick those that hated Trump to conduct the investigation.

I've made no comment in regard to the original post nor do I intend to.

I missed some of this. Apparently there were a total of 51 false representations to the FISA court. They are listed on pages 418 to 423 of the IG report.

As I said before this is unbelievable. To do what they did is not an accident. Its too much.

I agree completely with Senator Kennedy. "After about 15 percent of the way through, it made me want to heave," Kennedy added. "After about 25 percent of the way through I thought I had dropped acid -- it is surreal, I just couldn't believe it."

And, the impeachment process is so biased and fake it is resulting in fiery negative feedback to some Democratic representatives.

And, even MSNBC has been taken back by the testimony. (Andrea) Mitchell continued, "A particular point for something that is pretty egregious, which is the altering of a document to not inform the court and to not inform others that Carter Page, who was a former... Trump campaign associate of the president, was actually also at times a confidential source of the CIA. And, to not share that information, which you know, is obviously exculpatory, which might have led the judge to not approve the surveillance warrant on him."

Holy Cow! That is from MSNBC!

The FISA Court has strongly criticized the FBI. The FBI has until January 10th to come up with solutions.

Democrats and liberal news networks were spinning the Horowitz report focusing on the part where the initial investigation was OK. They didn't want the sheep that followed them to know how bad it really was. In a rare public statement a FISA judge said: "The frequency with which representations made by FBI personnel turned out to be unsupported or contradicted by information in their possession, and with which they withheld information detrimental to their case, calls into question whether information contained in other FBI applications is reliable."

"As [FBI Director Christopher Wray] has stated, the inspector general’s report describes conduct by certain FBI employees that is unacceptable and unrepresentative of the FBI as an institution," the bureau responded in a statement Tuesday night. "The director has ordered more than 40 corrective steps to address the report’s recommendations, including some improvements beyond those recommended by the IG."

"The [FISA court] expects the government to provide complete and accurate information in every filing with the court," [Judge] Collyer wrote. "Without it, the [FISA court] cannot properly ensure that the government conducts electronic surveillance for foreign intelligence purposes only when there is a sufficient factual basis."

This is unbelievable. I would never have thought it would happen here. The FBI intentionally lied and misrepresented information in order to spy on Carter Page and the Trump Campaign.
