Hi All,

New to the forum and Mustangs. Picked up a 2004 V6 for my son and I to work on. He wanted it lowered so before going out and spending money on lowering springs, I decided to go old school and cut a coil off both back and front. I've seen suggestions about using foxbody struts on the front when lowering a 99-04 Mustang. Apparently the length of the foxbody strut helps with the compression? It was said that the stock strut would wear out faster or break. Does that make sense? Need to know if I should stay with the stock strut (no issues with them) or go with foxbody struts, considering I've cut a coil out of the front. Thanks.

Dave
