I think you can go like, 255 in the front.. I aint sure though... actually i might be Way off, the 8in rim caint fit to big of a tire... But I'd go with the 315s if you can fit em, thats a WIDE tire, 17in tires are much cheaper than 18s

i like the 18's better since they fill in the wheel well a lot better....on stock rims i wouldnt go over 265's...ive seen 275's but the bubble out a lot and is very unsafe

I do hope you realize that you can't put an 18" tire on a 17" wheel. Im sure you do, but I'm just checking.

I have 275/40/17 on mine and it looks great. It bubbles a little bit but not too much at all.

get 9s up front and put 275s on them and go 315 in back. I have 17s. it is hard to find good wide tires for 18s. and they cost more.

i would go with 17's, cheaper wheels, cheaper tires, larger tire selection, more sidewall, ect.

with the lowering kit, dont forget a good set of caster/camber plates like maximim motorsports.

as far as tire size, i would get a 17X9 in the front with a 275/40/17, and a 17X10, or 17X10.5 in the rear with a 315/35/17. this is the most common setup, and thats because it seems to work the best.

on the stock wheel you can go up to a 275, but i WOULD NOT recommend it in the front, since the bludge will hurt cornering more than the added width will help. i personally feel a 245-255 is perfect for a 17X8, and of course you can use a little wider tire in the rear on a 17X8.

+1. That's what I have right now, and it's working out fine.

I run a 17x10.5 rim in back with a MT 315/35/17 dr, that has the new thread pattern, that looks something like nitto dr's

I picked up a 1/2 a second the very first run I made with them. That's compared to the 315 none dr's I had on before.

i pay about 20 more buckx for my 18 inch nittos than i did for my 17 nittos. and that per tire. for the look upgrade, i think an extra 80 bux everytime i get new tires isnt to bad

huh? 315/35/17 nitto's are $169 each, and 305/35/18 nitto's are almost $300 each, thats WAY WAY more than $20 a tire more, thats $120 a tire more.

285's are a little narrow for a 18X10. and if your doing a wheel/tire setup, its a must to do a staggared setup.
