Hello, and Merry Christmas fellow MM members!!

Quick question for a San Diego person who brought their Mustang to frozen Salt Lake City.

So, tips/tricks to melt the washer fluid when frozen? (yes, and I do have the -32F stuff now to put in once I clear the frozen stuff out).

I guess the fluid I use in San Diego is not the freeze-proof stuff. I thought driving around would do the trick, but it didn't. And, I am defiantly not use to this sticky/dirty/salty **** that clogs your windshield so fast in a winter wonderland. Damn, you folks who drive Mustangs in snowy places have lots of balls & skills! RR drive and snow are a very poor combo! Even w/ the traction control. Props to you all.

Thanks, and have a great day and a Happy New Year!

Thanks guys, I got the engine good and hot and then parked it for 15 mins. That seemed to do the trick of melting the fluid. Funny that it didn't melt while driving around. Perhaps too much air flow through the engine and it didn't get hot enough to melt it?

Any way, after sitting while hot it melted. Squirted all the non-freeze proof stuff out and filled with -32F stuff. All is good now!

Boy, I am so glad to NOT live in a cold climate! It is great to visit, but would hate to live in the snow. Can't wait to get back to San Diego where I can put my top down, even through the entire winter!

Happy New Year to MM members!!
