My car has an air fuel guage attached to to drivers side front o2 sensor. Guage almost always shows rich. Car runs great. Why could this be?

I take it it is a narrow band guage then? What kind of fuel milage are you getting?

I get right at 18-20+ depending on driving and my foot. Strictly hwy I get 25-28 if I'm easy without power starts.

Kind of thought that. Any way to make it read more in the mid range instead of showing mostly rich?

Those were the days....

Seriously though if your milage is that good you are not running overly rich.

Yeah I really didn't think it was running rich. But I don't like the guage showing it is.
