I am removing the stock fuel pump and trying to replace it with an SVT Focus fuel pump,
and while inspecting the old pump i noticed it has a black tube running along side the basket
to the stock fuel pump, my svt pump doesn't have a place for this black hose to go. I'm not
sure what to do about this?

I believe its there to help with fuel slosh/low fuel and not starve the pump. IDK what it is called, BUT most people just drill holes in the fuel basket, and make sure to keep more than a 1/4 tank in the car at all times.

It was for my mustang, I was able to get a different Walbro fuel pump from a guy here in my city that had a new basket and everything and looked much better than what is in my car now, so i just will put that in instead this weekend, thanks so much for the help!
