Hey guys, I don't do much posting so I appologize if im in the wrong section. Anyways, i'm looking for a reasonablly priced mechanic in the Houston area to install my 3.90 gear. Everyone around here wants 300.00 for install alone. IMO i think it's too much, maybe im wrong.

$300 sounds about right. Or better yet spend a few hours reading, rent a few tools from vato zone, maybe invest a little in some tools you cant rent, and in the end youve done it yourself. Its not hard at all. Just takes a little common sense, basic math, and paying attention to things.

Im pretty sure I can do the work myself. I figured after I bought a dial, mount, clamps and drill stock i need I could get it installed for cheeper. But if your thinking 300.00 is going rate, Maybe I should do it myself. Thanks
