So I've decided I'm going to do AX coming up..
found my local chapter Susquehanna Region SCCA Autocross and talked to some guys and I'm stoked!!!
I have a few questions.. I'm got some mods I want to do to the car, mainly tires and wheels.. so just wondering how many of you run AX on 18x9, 18x10 combos? I was set on getting saleens in 18 staggered fit.. but I'm not opposed to staying with 17s and getting 17 DD rears... if it means better handling for these kinds of events..
I'm super excited.. this is what having a sports car is about driving fast up shifting AND down shifting, and turning the wheel..
Also any idea where I'll be as far as class?Looks like Street Touring STU if I have 10" rears..
from what I've read the mods I have that impact most:
CAI, Cat back, 10" rear wheels, springs, sway bars, 4:10s, caster/cam plates, and the tires.. looking at Falken FK 452 or Hancook Ventus V12 or something similar....
