my buddy is replacing his intakes in about 3 weeks and told me hed sell me his for $250, its a edelbrock performer upper and lower he says he paid $550 for it 2 years ago.

#1 is it worth it?

#2 does it add power to a stock engine if so approx. how much, or should i wait to put it on till later when i have more top end parts?

Adds minimal hp on top and you will lose the tq on the lower end i believe.

I have an edelbrock performer intake manifold on my car, and didnt notice a big difference after the install, probably because my car still has the crappy stock heads. If I were you I would save some money, and pick up an explorer piece, depending on your future goals.

You might buy it and resale...still seems like a pretty good deal.
