grill delete fading

i just got it like 2 weeks ago and its fading, the black piece on the bottom. is that what happens to it? what do you guys do to it to keep it nice?

or you could just paint it with some krylon fusion black and then clear it

if it gets white/faded try peanut butter. no joke.
