Hey guys, I've been getting a grinding/chattering noise when sitting at idle. It only seems to happen when the rpm's drop when the a/c compressor starts to spin and if I put a slight bit of pressure on the clutch pedal, the problem seems to go away. I don't know if it's something related to the clutch like the TOB or if it's possibly a bad a/c compressor. Please help

Sounds like the TOB to me if you say it goes away when you put a bit of pressure on the clutch pedal.

That's what I was thinking too but I find it odd that the noise gets worse when the a/c compressor starts to spin

With the engine running, pop the hood and have someone kick in the AC compressor while your hovering over it, see if the compressor is adding to the noise of the TOB.
