so i bought my mustang in mid october and started driving it in late october. When i was driving it i noticed it was grinding from 1st to 2nd gear. It didnt matter if i was shfiting easy or hard. I was wondering wut it could be that is grinding my gears from 1st to 2nd?

are you pushing the clutch pedal all the way down?If so maybe the self adjuster isnt working correctly,or its not adjusted correctly(aftermarket setup).Where does your clutch pedal release?if all these things are all right the synchro might be shot in the trans

i push down on the clutch fully and release it very slowly so as to make sure to eliminate those factors....also had friends who drove manuals and had that happen to them too. the mustang is fully stock cept for mayb the catback. "stupid flowmasters"

hmmm ive heard that it might be the synchros. how much does it cost to replace them and can i do it myself?
