I'm doing a little comparison test and would like your all's opinion. I have been using photomatix but am starting to not like it. Not sure if that's because I don't truly know how to use it, but I don't feel like I'm getting the results I want. So I downloaded a couple other trial programs. Which ones of these do you all like the best? These are all single image HDR deals. I only spent about 15 minutes in each program.

Well the whole point of HDR is to get perfect tonal range. That's shadows with detail, midtones, and highlights with detail. And that requires at least three images.

But the effects I think you're looking for are more along the lines of bumped saturation, high contrast, and a fantasy look. If that's the case, all you really need to do is stick with which ever program you are most familiar with and play around with the settings. Hope this helps.
