The trans is stock besides a king cobra clutch. But as the rpm's start to rise there is a high pitch whining noise coming from the top of the trans by the shifter. Question i have is, could it be the fluid level? Havent checked it since i dont have a lift ready at hand, or could it be the shifter itself or the trans? The clutch was installed last year and didnt make this noise and i just got the car out of storage about 2 weeks ago and it started about a week ago. thanks

i would check the fluid level first. if you have to use jackstands, make sure the car is level.

My '94 5.0 GT is making a whining noise when accelerating 1st-3rd (I know for a fact), haven't noticed it in 4th or 5th.

I was thinking maybe it's the alternator but what are you thinking about?
