Hood Trouble

The hood on my 92 gt will not open... It doesn't feel like its frozen its almost like the thing on the inside is broken, it feels really loose. the hood doesn't pop up. This is probably the dumbest question but does anyone have any advice how to get it up with out breaking sometihng off??

By the thing on the inside i mean the lever in the car.. sry

you might be able to get a really small screw driver in there, or have someone pull on it while you try to pop it. If the cable is broken you will have to get in there from underneath to disengage the mechanism.
