Which slicks should I go with? M&H slicks? 26x10.50x15 sugg. Rim size 8.0 O.D. 26.3 tread width 10 compound HM-11 $169.99.... Hoosier 26x10.0x15 sugg. Rim size 9.0-10.0 O.D. 26.4 tread width 10.0 compound D06 $172.99...and is there a place to get them cheaper? Ima mount them on summit star or the smooth star polished

Im going with MT slicks with a l8 compund next year.

do a price comp. between jegs and summit. start a cart and follow it all the way to the check out final price with s&h and see which is cheaper. thats what i do

Your already converted to 31 spline correct?

Na I'm not going to... I'm just going to swap in some moser or similar strength after market 28 spline's... And I want the best tire..regardless of my hp...it will eventualy be in the 400's on the stock short block and later 450 or so after I drop in my mmr shortblock :)...

when you start getting up to 400-450, i wouldnt keep the 28 spline even if they are after market axles. its cheap security to just do it right the first time and up grade

How do you figure? they are not for drag bikes, they are a race slick

it shows it on a bike wheel yes, but they are actually for a car. most bikes use drag slickes designed for cars. click on the picture and you will see it on a weld prostar

yes, and hopefully your brake caliper bracket will hold the axle in and keep it from walking out of the housing.

So I take it the 31's aren't just more spline count but thicker and beefier too?

looking at the end of the axle where the splines are, theres more meat in the middle with more splines than there is with less splines
