I have an idea to use the 8.8 in an IRS aplication, but my engine makes 600 lbs. torque.

The 8.8 can handle that fine, IDK about half shafts for a IRS tho.

I'm thinking of mounting the 8.8 diff in a C5 corvette rear suspension since my car is 75" wide, then either modifying the C5 axles( which look a lot the Mustang IRS axles). The C5 rear suspension mounts seperate than the C5 diff, so they can be treated as two units joined only by the half shafts.

The IFS 8.8 won't handle it.
