This will be my first time working on a rear diff other than changing the fluid and/or the whole rear. So i'm trying to find a how to or write up on it. I tried google but cant find one on the 8.8 rear. ThankX

You basically take the clutches out and the S spring, and you put the mini spool in place of it.... Mini Spool is NOT NHRA legal JFYI

You will quickly learn you can not mini spool a limited slip differential...... You need an open dif .....

I have put in a mini spool in a LSD on a bronco once, but I tore the LSD guts out and basically made it an open diff and then stuffed the mini spool in....

Please elaborate because i do have a posi rear. Did u have to take the unit out of the rear??

Basically just take everything out and add the mini spool in the middle????
