We plan to go hiking with friends in 3 weeks. This will be my first trip longer than two nights. Basically, I have all the equipment that I need, but we haven't yet made a menu for our trip. I'm not sure that we will make a fire, so advise me what products we can take with us and they will not spoil in three days in the forest.

I just got back from a 2 night trip. We didn't make a fire. I just used compact propane canisters. Might want to pack 2 propanes for extended trips.

I circled what I brought. Beef jerky and tuna pouches with mustardmmayo packs. peanut m&m's/trail mix for protein and fats. Ramen noodles because it was getting into the 40s at night. Bring foil so you won't have to wash the gunk out. Oatmeal pouches for breakfast.

If you're a coffee drinker try to find folders single serve coffee packs. 3 packs to the big pan on the mess kit was pretty good. When you say you have the equipment, do you have ultralight stuff or standard camping stuff that weighs a ton?
