Dems have now made it official. What is most concerning is it's not just Trump. The depth and breadth of corruption is looking very bad. This is what I've feared and have voiced for the last two years. It is now becoming apparent my fears were based in reality unlike some who continue to "whistle past the graveyard".

The conduct of this president is not only disgraceful but potentially illegal. I think the phrase is "The **** is hitting the fan". Wanna guess who gets hurt the most? It sure isn't Trump.....

Afraid not. See Trump Derangement Syndrome and
for more information.

Incidentally, if you think you hate him now ... OMG! ... just wait until he gets re-elected in 2020. The DNC will be setting up safe-spaces in the parking-lot and handing out Lexapro in the lobby.

It will not unfold as you suspect. From a sample size of 1006 adults 45% support impeachment, 38% don't and 17% don't know.

Going to the link the study consisted of 412 Democrats, 403 Republicans and 115 independents. The adjusted confidence level is + or - 5.0 points. That means that the number of those supporting impeachment is somewhere between 40-50% and for those against the range is 33-43% What that means is at the extremes the real number could be 50% support/33% against or 43% against/40% support. Or could be any other point in between. But larger surveys cost more money so a lot of limited surveys are done even though they are not very precise because they still give us an idea of what people are thinking if taken with a grain of salt.

39% think there is enough evidence to impeach. 36% don't and 25% are unsure. All of this is split along party lines. 74% of the Democrats support impeachment and 72% support conviction. (That is odd. I would have thought they would be the same.) Only 17% of the Republicans agree.

The respondents had a limited knowledge of the impeachment process. Only 55/56% knew that the impeachment process started in the House and that it doesn't remove the President. Only 33% of the respondents knew that no President has ever been removed from office (Nixon resigned before being impeached. Neither Clinton nor Johnson were convicted.)

Here is a disclaimer from the authors, "Statistical margins of error are not applicable to online non-probability polls. All sample surveys and polls may be subject to other sources of error, including, but not limited to coverage error and measurement error."

So yes on that particular poll 45% supported impeachment and 38% didn't. A similar poll could have very different results and the crazy thing is both are correct. If you hear people complain about the limited size of the poll this is why. And there is nothing subjective in those numbers. They come from statistical calculations.

But none of that matters anyway, especially when a large number of the respondents had no idea how the impeachment process works. There are only 45 Democrats in the Senate. It takes two-thirds of the Senate (67 votes) to convict. That means both of the Independents in the Senate and 20 of the 53 Republican Senators would have to vote to impeach.

They are going to need a lot stronger evidence before that will happen.

Isn't that dude paid to just be Fox News' "Democrat" punching bag?
That I’m not sure of. I haven’t tuned into there more than a bit so see what they are saying since Oriely was booted off. One of the die hardy who tune into Fox N. would have to answer that one.

No. Judge Napolitano is a frequent guest on FNC, particularly when there is a debate about the interpretation of law, but he's certainly not a leftist mouthpiece. I'd guess he tends to lean right, but I've heard him make arguments both ways. He's usually brought on as a legal expert. He's not really a Fox pundit (or Fox punching bag) per say. Smart dude though ...

Sorry this impeachment crap isn't official yet. Until they hold a vote to have an impeachment inquiry, it's all just a show. Also without a vote, their subpoenas have no merit and can't be enforced. nancy will not hold a vote, because she doesn't want to risk losing the 30 dems who won in districts Trump won in 2016. Also if they hold an official inquiry, then the Republicans will be able to subpoena witnesses too and do their own investigation, which will be bad for Biden and other dems. The dems were hoping that this dog and pony show would scare Trump into doing something wrong. They also wanted to get the media to keep up they hatchet jobs. Tomorrow Trump is sending them a letter, pretty much saying, "Go pound sand, until you hold a vote!"

Read the White House’s official response to Speaker Pelosi and Democrat leaders

This evening, the White House sent an eight-page letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other House Democrat leaders, responding to the unprecedented, unconstitutional “impeachment inquiry” launched against President Donald J. Trump.

The letter, written by White House Counsel Pat Cipollone, lays out how Democrat leaders designed a politically motivated inquiry that violates the constitutionally mandated due process protections:

You have denied the President the right to cross-examine witnesses, to call witnesses, to receive transcripts of testimony, to have access to evidence, to have counsel present, and many other basic rights guaranteed to all Americans. You have conducted your proceedings in secret. You have violated civil liberties and the separation of powers by threatening Executive Branch officials, claiming that you will seek to punish those who exercise fundamental constitutional rights and prerogatives. All of this violates the Constitution, the rule of law, and every past precedent. Never before in our history has the House of Representatives—under the control of either political party—taken the American people down the dangerous path you seem determined to pursue.

The facts are clear. The House Democrats’ “impeachment inquiry,” undertaken without a single vote of authorization by the full House—an astonishing breach of precedent—is constitutionally invalid and violates both basic due process rights and the separation of powers. By the admission of its own advocates in Congress, it plainly seeks to reverse the election of 2016 and to influence the election of 2020. Not only is there no legitimate basis for the inquiry, but the committees’ actions in pursuing it themselves raise serious questions that demand full transparency with the American people.

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/men-ties-giuliani-arrested-campaign-finance-charges-florida/story?id=66181930

Two men who have reportedly assisted Rudy Giuliani in his efforts to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden's family have been arrested and are expected to face charges for allegedly violating campaign finance law, a federal law enforcement official told ABC News on Thursday.

Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, two Soviet-born businessmen based in Florida, were arrested Wednesday and are expected to face charges from the U.S. Attorneys for the Southern District of New York. Both Parnas and Fruman have been tied to the work done by the president's personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, in Ukraine where Giuliani has had significant business interests.

I'm sure it's also completely coincidental that Bill Barr was informed of the charges and arrests Wednesday night and within 12 hours the two men just so happen to be trying to flee the country.

Yo, enough with the lies and conspiracies.

Like anyone with a brain believes the #FakeNews from the alt-left corporate media anymore. :no

They're just in full panic mode and trying to inject more distractions because starting with the Fake Russia Collusion and Fake Dossier BS, everything they've accused Trump of has turned out to be a lies and now they're actually screwing up and exposing their own corruption in the process.

First it was fake Russia Collusion, then fake Obstruction (but there can't be obstruction if there was no collusion to begin with), and now this fake Ukraine BS, etc. :screwy: :wtf

So when god ends up not do anything when will that be a hoax and fake news too? Burned every other Bridge so far. Wanna keep batting 100.
Everyone who has ever consumed dihydrogen monoxide has died #fakenews

OK, then let's start from the beginning.

Where is the proof of Russia Collusion?

<Crickets>...</Crickets> LOL

Because if there was any real collusion, he'd already been impeached.

The Dems won't even follow due process and call a vote to impeach because they know it opens the door to discovery and they're the corrupt party accusing the other side of doing what they actually do.

The Dems are just doing political theater because they're desperate and have nothing left, to distract and feed their useful idiots and then because they're also trying to cover up the money laundering they did in Ukraine.

The video below doesn't even cover all the corruption....

Schiff should recuse himself for reading that FAKE version of the phone call between Trump to the Ukraine.

good googly moogly
It's almost laughable but then when you look at the reality of it all and the twisting and bending you see just how it's not not funny at all. Interesting to see though but just like some of these ppl use to be alot more critical of alot less things not too long ago.

I thing not too long from now after some possible changes they will go back to being critical and holding the office holder to a certain standard vs this dog pony and sheep show we see from some now.
