Any advice would help
Ive got an automatic 2001 mustang v6 convertible w/ auto trans. I bought it used. The previous owner took amazing care of it and its in prime condition. But its got about 160k miles on it. It's "get up and go" is just a little slow. So really anything that could help the acceleration would be great. Also improving speed never hurts. Also im pretty new too the mustang world. Although Ive admired the cars for a long time. So really any advice will be great.u get +150 rwhp by clicking the sticky threads and search button.
welcome to MM :welcome
best bang for buck is gears if u want to feel a difference. tuners are better for autos and claim +20 hp for 99-04 v6s. exhaust and CAI is more for noise than hp. set some realistic goals for what u want out of the car.
thats pretty interesting. Ill definently check that out. Thankyou!first thing is the $2 dollar pedal adjustment.
That'll make you think your the fastest car in the land.
Just when I tried doing it the first time... I did a quick band-aid job so after a couple of months... The space came off... Now the spacer is fully secured in place... Best thing I ever did for my bucket...:yesspeaking of that, has anyone ever had any problems resulting from that mod?
this sounds possible. But like i said im pretty new at this so should i be able to find professional help with the tuner, exhaust, and gears. Because id rather it done right. than have myself screw it up.Good sir, you need to read, save money, read more, watch porn, read more
But for you sire, id recommend this: 4.10 gears+tlok and a SCT hand held tuner. maybe 1200$ after labor on the gears. Then a simple cat back dual exhuast, and CAI. 300-400 exhuast (Hpipe to flowmaster mufflers) and 70$ CAI from AM. Do that, put the performance tune on. and bam be done.
well with the tuner you'll have professional tunes on it and new tunes that can be made by a programmer (i.e. SCT on AM)this sounds possible. But like i said im pretty new at this so should i be able to find professional help with the tuner, exhaust, and gears. Because id rather it done right. than have myself screw it up.
ok i know i can get the gears on AM what about the Tlock? also what exactly is a Tlock?well with the tuner you'll have professional tunes on it and new tunes that can be made by a programmer (i.e. SCT on AM)
with the exhaust a shop will be installing that
with gears you should have a shop do it 100% unless you've done it before...oh and get a tlok while your at it. why pay for an install twice right
Ok i think i found them also on AM. They are just referred too as slip differentialdunno...i've never felt the urge to get one so i've never researched...im sure a trip to google will solve that for you
