The sprocket on the cam had a mark,a line of course and the crank has a mark as well, I heard its called a "key" to keep the sprocket from sliping on the crank.When you line them up the crank line 'key' is pointing infront of the cam line meaning there pointing toward eachother.. when you turn the crank 360 degress, the key is pointing back up as before but,the sprocket on the Cam is pointing up instead of eachother.
I know its doing this because of compression and then releasing it as the exhaust but I dont remember if the pointers on the sprocket should be pointing at eachother on the compression stroke or pointing away from eachother on the compression stroke...
