I'm looking to replace the struts and rear shocks on my 2000 mustang. I was looking at KYB ones on Summit and wondered if they are better than stock. I don't need top of the line performance stuff but something a little bit better than stock.
I'm having a hard time believing that the $60/pair units on Amazon are any good.
Back in the day (and I mean a long time ago) KYB were the shocks to have, but now a days they are just a cheap alternative for some performance gains over stock, most of which is because they are a really stiff shock that will worsen your ride and maybe make your handling more unstable. You get what you pay for when it comes to shocks
