Got a good deal on a brand new V3 tuner kit on eBay today. I had bid on a few used head units but being me and having to send them off for rebuild I just went ahead ahead and bought a new kit.

Now I got to get the rest my kit together. I want the CX racing 3 core intercooler kit that is made to fit on my car.

SVT focus pump and Kenne Bell BAP.

42 lb injectors.

Lightning mass air.

If anyone knows where to get the above parts on a budget let me know.

I’m having a local speed shop install and tune the car.

Anything else I’m missing chime in.

Facebook groups is the way I found all my used parts.

Calssifieds - Mod Motor Mustangs
NA SVT Classifieds
New Edge Nation (99-04) Classifieds (this might not be the name of it but it's close)

I found:
Used D1SC with 90% of the intercooler piping, 2 core intercooler, etc...
Used 60lb injectors
Used SCT BA500 MAF
Used Intake piping with MAF bung
Used boost guage
Some other odds and ends....

Good luck man. I'm waiting on my start up tune is all...

I'm hoping to have my kit installed by summer. I'm only waiting 6-8psi to be safe. My car already has 105,000 miles. You think I could get by ithout the BAP?

Back to square one...the seller canceled the order and said it was due to my limited history and was afraid I was going to scam him somehow. LOL! If he doesn't want my money its his loss. I have never done much business on ebay but I have 100% feedback.

All in all with added parts tune ECT you're looking at...5k? That's out the door finished product cost. Includes intercooler as well.

If I buy everything new it will be right at, or just north of 5k out the door. I thought about doing the install myself but only being off 1 day a week doesn't leave me much time. Plus I would have to trailer it to the tuner.

If that asshole on Ebay would have sold me the new kit I would have been under 5k easy. 2,600 for a new V3 tuner kit was a good deal. This deal from Anderson is good as well with the power pipe.

This company says they will beat any price online so I gave them a call this morning and told them Anderson had them beat by a few hundred. Long story short they couldn't beat it lol.

I'm not certain but that seller likely couldn't fulfill the order and had to find a BS reason why.

I would recommend another facebook group as well, https://www.facebook.com/groups/302867449861383/

Also SVTP and Corral

You can also probably get away with the 39 lb OE injectors from the 03/04 cobras.

Yeah but too bad I can't leave any feedback. Once the seller cancels the order and issues a refund its a done deal. Oh well, now I have to wait 3-4 weeks to get my Vortech.

What is install going to run you though? I know vortech supplies something or Bama will to atleast limp the car to the tuner.

First quote was $1,100 for install and tune. I will try to get a better price once I'm ready for the install.

There may be a way to do something about it if you speak to Ebay support. Not sure though.

As for injectors,

here is a set of 42s, and a LMAF. 225 for both (150 for injectors, 75 for maf) For Sale 42lb injectors and lightning maf - Ford Mustang Forums : Corral.net Mustang Forum

heres another listing, 42lbs for 225, LMAF for 70, For Sale 42lb inj, fuel rails, maf meters - Ford Mustang Forums : Corral.net Mustang Forum

The second guys also has a VMP slot style with housing, it may be worth looking into going slot style, as there is a lot more range in something like the SCT 5000/VMP 5000/ HPX 5000 (all the same maf I believe) than the LMAF. Still some decent deals there for two of the things you're looking for. IDK if you can use one add to compel the other person to sell cheaper, etc.

EDIT: Another LMAF here: http://forums.corral.net/forums/fue...4-ford-lightning-90mm-maf-filter-adapter.html

So stick with the good brands of injectors. I’ve seen new 42lb on Amazon for $79
Yeah, do not buy those. Stick with Ford, Siemens Deka, Bosch...I would recommend OEM Cobra 39lbs for your setup.

Here is a set of 42lb ford racing injectorso for 250. Will these work on my car or will I have to have a adapter?

Ford Racing 47LB Fuel Injectors - Set of 8

They may be remaufactured but as long as they are cleaned and tested it don't have a problem with it.

I'm running Borsch 42s (green tops). While Cobra 39 lbs. injectors work they are not ideal for two reasons. The first is you need a ev6 to ev1 adapter which is not a big deal but an additional expense. The second and more important reasons is they are designed for a 4-valve motor--two intake valves. Our motors have only one intake valve. Cobra 39 lbs injectors have have two spray patterns that angle out. Here is a video from a Chevy guy who confuses 39s and 42s (they are not the same). It clearly shows the two spray patterns.

If you are only going to run 6-8 psi you do not need anything bigger than 42s. Also at that power level your stock MAF should work. I'm running 9 psi and mine didn't max out until around 360-370 rwhp. It actually worked at 385 for a while but the motor was tuned rich in the middle and started leaning out at the top so I bought a Diablosport MAFia and had the car retuned.

Note: The MAF doesn't actually max out. It is capable of 0-9 volts output but the ECU cannot accept anything above 5 volts. The MAFia rescales the voltage output so the ECU can accept it.

I’m going to get a 90mm mass air as I would rather have some room vs maxing out my stocker and having to pay for a retune. I rather go above and beyond just to be safe.
