It's sad, but this happens ALL THE TIME.

If anything Chrysler was awful nice to let them use those vehicles.

Normally manufacturers produce these early test vehicles, and once the program is at a production level, these get crushed, sold for scrap, or used internally for later test mules, shop vehicles, etc...

It goes on every day, because they legally cannot run them on the road because they're not certified with production hardware. Not to mention most of them are usually pretty ragged out at that point, after going through thousands of hours of tests, and all kinds of reconfigurations.


...I sure would love one though. :(

Aw man, that's terrible :( Chrysler should at LEAST get the pre-production model back and keep it in a museum. That's so sad that they want them crushed...

yeah, there's a million better things they could do with them than crush them
