i posted a thread earilier about the smell of antifreeze. i'm now driving the car more and now i am smelling the antifreeze when the car is running. i do not smell it from the heater only when i have the window down and when i am stopped. my friends dad has not looked at it but he thinks it is a head gasket. if it was the head gasket wouldn't there be coolent mixed in with the oil? i have no idea what it could be. i changed the water pump and it is not leaking from that. what do you think it could be than.

pressure test the cooling system and if you still cant find the leak get some leak detector dye from a parts store and run it a while and go back with a blacklight and look for your leak.

if you have coolant in your oil (as you probably know), that's a really bad place to be. how many miles on your car? do you drive it hard enough to blow a headgasket? because that doesn't happen a whole lot in mustangs (relative to other cars)
