okay so i just put my motor back in, installed the trans. hooked engine hoist
to engine and lifted it up... got the passenger on very easy... the driver
side sucks. i have fought it for a couple hours and got fustrated. i think i
am gona have to drop the k- member... any ideas :mad::mad::mad::mad:

wait, you had the engine out? Why didnt you put them on the engine then drop them in. Its still an easy 3-4hr job on jack stands either way

i had a few people tell me that u cant get the trans in with the headers on
because the bell housing hits.. its a five speed. so do you have to drop the
k member

depends on the headers, you can take the k member out, or just pick up one side at a time, and do it that way

damn it, well the driver side won tonight.. i bought cheap headers so maybe
that is biting me in the ass now.

drop the k member dude, i fought mine for hours anr hours, then dropped the k and it was super super easy

i just had my k member out a month ago and know i have to drop it to put my PA racing one in lol

not dropping the k frame is a huge waist of time in my eyes, but im sure every brand of headers is defferent

I've done a couple sets of long tubes, both on the Bullitt and a Cobra. Drop the K-member. It easier to get at everything and you'll end up saving time, especially if something doesn't fit perfectly.

to each their own, give me an engine hoise and 3 hrs and your headers will be on. Take the motor mount off and lift up that side and slide them in. Put the motor mount back on the engine and drop it onto the perch. Thats really all there is to it.

You don't have to realign the k membrane at all? It is just unbolt and hen re-bolt?

I was thinking for some reason tag it involved allot more work...
