Lookin to possibly buy a tunner for my bullitt. I hear a lot of good things about bama. anyone else try something different? is there quite a gain felt with the tunner? Only mods are catback exhaust. just lookin for a little more grunt. those of you who have used a tunner what kind and how much power increase did you notice on a dyno?

A tune is definitely a great mod. Thank you for showing interest in Bama, we really appreciate that! Here's a little bit about how we write our tunes.

For every Bama Tune we ask you 19 questions about your specific Mustang, including your unique mods and style of driving. This info helps us write custom tunes from the ground-up for your Mustang's mods that will give you the most horsepower that we can safely deliver. We're also constantly developing our tunes! Between our 14 different Project Mustangs and tons of street/track and dyno testing (on our in-house Dynojet 224xLC), we're looking for any minor tweaks to be made that can benefit you guys. We're also part of Fords Technology Transfer Program & Work very closely with Ford to insure that all of our tunes are perfect!

Since your car is basically stock, you won't see a huge power gain. However, it will still be in the 15/20RWHP+ 15+RWTQ which is pretty impressive gain IMO!

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

+1 with an auto you'll notice the difference.. not so much if your car is manual driven. I say you can't go wrong with AM or bama. When you do serious modding all you need is the tuner anyway. It's just convenient to have bama write you tunes for bolt-on's.

I am a personal holder of the BAMA tunes on my SF3/x3 for my 01' GT 2v. I have personally felt a slight difference considering that I drive a five speed. What this tuner will do for you is bring you car a little more to life despite almost being stock by giving it a better throttle response. I currently run a CAI, and exhaust system with a pretty much stock rebuilt long block motor and enjoy the extra ummpph that you will feel with the tuner.
Not to mention if you begin to have issues and your CEL comes on, you can check the issue with the device itself, make adjustments to tune, and datalog. Its a great investment, especially if you will be building your car up!

If I was certain it would firm up my 1-2 shift, I would probably buy one on that point alone. Man I hate that flare....only on 1-2.

I'm guessing you have an automatic? Hell yes it would. I almost got an auto '04 and my first mods were gonna be the tuner, and a 3200 stall for it lol. The tuner will most certainly firm that up. I also believe you can pick how firm it shifts.

Yes...an auto. All shifts are crisp except 1-2. At WOT 1-2 is a lot harder than at normal driving speeds. Just bugs me, I bought an auto. this time so my wife could drive it also....but she never does. I'll go ahead then and get the tuner this spring when I take it out of storage....thanks!
