losing power

so my friend has a Mitsubishi 3000gt and when he gets into the upper rpm range it starts to bog out. i was thinking fuel filter maybe or clogged cats the car has 120+k miles on it. any ideas??? thanks in advance.

that would be where i would start i guess. i had a talon that when in upper rpm's it would cut out. ended up that a electrode on one of the spark plugs came loose. i dont know why but i changed all plugs and wires and it cleared up.

Start with the basic, least expensive things. Check plugs, wires, air/fuel filters. Then go from there.
