I finally decided to lower the car strictly for looks, tired of the 4x4 stance. My concerns are for the 10.5 rims with a 26 11.5 mt on the back. How much can i lower it and will stock shocks and struts work. I also dont want to hurt straight line performance too much.

I am thinking of doing the ford "B" or "C" springs. They will lower @ 1 inch to give it a better look and still keep that factory struts/shocks.

I had factory shocks/struts till recently with Steeda springs.. it was a rough ride (nicer now with Eibach damper)... .but it can be done with stock damper..

You'll be fine w/ stock struts with less than a 1.7" drop. Personally I feel anything above 1.7 should have some after market shocks/struts.
