I got a 04 and need some positive traction, what year ford ranger has the part that im looking for? Is it the same year as long as it has the 7.5 rear end?

I'm about to do this and 3.73 gears and just want to make sure I get the right one.

Why not throw in an 8.8? They are common/cheap/stronger
I dont plan on making alot of power, but if I can't get a straight answer this is my next option. does all 8.8 have lsd?

if i was at home i could tell you.

if you are getting one from the junkyard, look for a ranger with the axle code f4, f6, f7. f6 is actually LSD w/ 3.73 gears btw.

Yes 8.8s have a LSD. They are fairly cheap and a direct bolt on just like a 7.5 ford ranger rear end.
