another question for my dad.

he just picked up a full mach stereo system from an 06 gt to put in his 05 6.
is there much fabricating that has to be done to get the head unit into the old spot? also will it effect his my colour?
im no good at wiring **** so all helps appreciated

what kind of system did he have in the 6 to begin with.
I know that you can get an adapter for the 99-04's to connect a mach 1000 to a mach 460.


ps. the sound system for a S197 is the Shaker 500 and the Shaker 1000. the mach 1000 is the 99-04 setup.

whoops lol. k its the shaker 1000 and he had the stock cd player and 6(?) speaker system. i got the mach 460 in my car lol.

from what I've read on different forums. your dad has to rewire the whole car. i don't know if it is true but just thought i would pass that on.

Yeah I used to install radios at circuit city and I think your right you have to rewire the whole car for that to work..
