Hi, I'm new to the forums, I just bought an 01 V6 with 62,500 miles on it. I've always changed my oil myself with mobil 1 full synthetic every 3,000 miles. I was curious what else I can do and how often to keep this car running as long as possible. Thanks for all answers! :yes

Here's what I follow with all my cars....I'm a little anal though
Tranny Fluid - Every 30K miles (auto trans receives a flush every other change)
Coolant Flush every 60K miles.
Differential Fluid Every 60K Miles
Oil Every 3K Miles.
Seafoam (Gas tank, crankcase, and Vacuum Line) every 15-20k
I do plugs and wires every 30K
All filters and things about every 6 months. (Air Filter, Cabin Filter, Fuel Filter)

All of the items mentioned above. But you have to stick to it committed completely. If you put forth a serious effort to keep up on every little noise or tick, you will be in great shape. It's impossible to do but its the effort of trying to be perfect that takes you a long way.
Our V6's respond to the Seafoam treatments very well. I do it with every oil change.
Lastly- I recommend using copper core plugs, just change them a little more often.
good luck!
