I am just about to go into phase 2 of modding my car, I am looking at going with 18's staggered fitment. Have the rims chosen that I want- Black 2010 GT500 Wheel 05-11 (18x10) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping! but am looking at going 335/30/18 rears and 275/35/18(18x9)on front. Will the rear tire actually fit without modifications. Also realize if I can go this route, that I will most likely have to drop the car.

You should really use the search function but check out the tire wheel sizing charts on most tire websites. IMO those tires are too short and wide for those rims. Generally you don't want the tire width to differ from the rim width by more than an inch or so. You can get away with wider tires if you have taller sidewalls. But with that 30 series profile that tire needs to be on a 12" rim. I run a 305/45/18 on my rear 10" rims, but if I went with a shorter profile I would not have gone that wide.

I'm running 305/40-18 Nitto drag radials on 10" wheels without any problems. 10" wheel is the minimum width wheel recommended by Nitto for these tires.

I wouldn't do any shorter than a 275/40/18 on the front. I'd wouldn't go wider than a 315 on a 10 inch wide rim either.

The front is too big, but the back is perfect. do a 275/40 or a 255/45/18.

Ok, I will definitely look at both those front tire recommendations and choose the one that will look the best for fitment. And thanks for the title correction NastyStang113, I tried to edit it when I realized the mistake. But it wouldn't let me. Again thanks for all the replies.

I would do 255/45/18 front and 285/40/18 or 295/45/18 rear. Just keep in mind that if you go with a 295/45/18 rear, you will be loosing a little gearing, so 3.55 gears would be the equivelent of 3.45 or something close to.

Understood, but I am planning on putting in 4.10's when I do the tires and rims.

I have nitto 555's 285/40/18 rear and 255/45/18 front and it is perfect. Idk if you plan on going fi in the future but if not you don't need anything wider than that. I have 4.10s also and it launches perfectly. Youll be very happy with it. The wider you go the more expensive tires become.

You could do a 305 or a 315 on the rear on a small tire like a Nitto...with a full-size tire probably 305 is the limit on a 10" wide rim (45MM offset). For a 335 you need an 11.5" wide rim minimum with most brands. Every tire manufacturer makes rim sizing charts - go by those for safety.

Put a 275 on the front.

These are 305/45/18's which are a bit taller than the 40's series.

I talked to some guys on SVTP about 335s on a 10in wheel and we agreed that is too wide. It bulges like crazy and looks stupid. 335 is like 13in wide, correct me if im wrong.

I wouldn't go over 315.

Another fan of the 555R 305/40's! Just wish more size options were available from more manufacturers with a 27"-28" OD on an 18" wheel.

That's about the limit for bulge IMHO....
