Hmmm I might be interested in doing this just as a hobby... can anyone provide links to what books i should get to start the process?

If you have a full time job it's gunna be tough. It takes a **** load of knowledge and practice. But check with Wraither about the books. He might have some you can borrow.
I have WAY to much free time on my hands right now and im in a computer related field that is very flexible with my work hours. I was debating going back to school and keeping my full time position but I would love to walk down this route instead....

I have decent knowlegdge of electronics being in a computer related field, but im sure i have butloads to learn from this....

Yeah I just find it all fascinating and would like to read up on it regardless. If I pass or fail the test doesn’t matter to me, I would just like to gain more knowledge of electrical devices. Granted i would prefer to pass :)...

I’m going to read up on that site and most likely order that review book for the basic level to see how much I like it.
