47K miles with not issues on this one.
This isn't the one that doesn't let you look at the mirrors or put the car in neutral if the radio buttons aren't pressed in a randomly generated sequence based on a third party authorization code while singing the chorus to "I'm singing in the rain" in the opposite key of the original song or whatever it was?

Lol it does have some uconnect bugs that I guess I’ve just gotten used to and they do suck. Compared to the one they bought back, it’s great though. At least it’s reliable, and it’s a good thing since I have it in florida for 2 months.

A guy I'm acquaintances with said his wife's Jeep Renegade makes it so you have to like unlock the parking brake from the entertainment system in order to change the brake pads or some ****. So weird.

Apparently on a lot of the new FCA products, if you open the door while it's running/moving, it will not let you shift into any forward or reverse gears until you shut it off and restart it. No signs of a shift inhibit either. All because of those lawsuits with that stupid rotary shift dial. That's got to be a real pain in the dick when trying to back up to a trailer or maneuver.

I AM IRON MAN (nipple for reference)
The cool Black Sabbath one or the lame ass comic book one?

With Disney's penchant for cramming as many superheroes into a movie as possible and endless remakes, it's only a matter of time before we see

THE GOOFY MOVIE: INFINITY WAR

Where a disturbing live action/CGI Goofy must team up with Captain America, Wonder Woman, Iron Woman, Black Panther, and Pauly Shore, as well as some other lesser known, lesser monetized superheroes such as BigHandMan, Rocking Chair, The Atomic Anteater, and Crazylegs, to fight the evil umm...Donald Duck? and save the universe, but more importantly sell merchandise in the process.

Even worse than that, if you’re moving, it slams it into park.

I can only imagine sitting in on that FMEA meeting.

Only found out when my old man bought a new one. The lot porter brought it around front, put it in park, and left it running. He goes to get in, won't go into gear. Porter can't get it into gear. Salesman can't get it into gear. Lead technician can't get it into gear. Half an hour later lead technician finds out it needs to be key cycled. Brilliant job at the dealership.

The rotary shift dial has got to be one of the dumbest interfaces yet, and the software application of it even more so.

I think I'm actually going to build a race car.

I got to talking with one of my instructors, and he started the "Front Four" series with our local NASA group.

It's designed to be inexpensive, fairly competitive and offer more freedom than the spec cars.

It's FWD, NA 4 cylinders, as of now the top 3 guys in the series all run Integras. There are 2 Focus's in the class but none of them are SVTs.

2200lbs min class weight, your wheel HP x 17 is your minimum allowed weight, and you can run up to a 225 tire with weight penalty or a 205 without a penalty.

I've hung out with these guys and they are all best friends. My instructor gave me his phone number and some tips to start out, then told me to call him before I do anything. He said every guy out there will tell you what they have done to their cars, what has worked and what hasn't. When there isn't anything on the line, other than bragging rights, guys are more helpful.

It sounds like a lot of fun to run cheap cars in a W2W situation. I just need to find a car, I'm allocating $10k for the car ($3000 or so) with safety equipment (probably $5k, maybe a bit more), bushings, brakes, wheels and tires. A really fast set of tires is $450, a set of wheels is $500, hell even track pads are only $100. That's a far cry from the $400 I was paying for the GT350.

If I don't do it now I don't know if I ever will. As it sits I'm eligible to run time trails with these guys, but I need to run the comp school (my instructor thinks I'm ready now but I'm not confident) to get a sign off, then run 4 races with a provisional, afterwards if I don't **** anything up too bad, I'll get a competition license which is honored by other sanctioning bodies (SCCA, FIA, WEC, Etc).

i don't think they started making them that early but if you find one just be sure to upgrade from those stone wheels
The rules allow for aftermarket wheels no lighter than 11lbs.

I'd step down to a 16x7. The weight savings are absolutely required.

The Focus has a 6 speed, none of the other cars out there have that advantage.

Aside from that, I'll be driving it, and it will be heavier than most of the other guys by a lot.

So I'm not expecting to be competitive.

i was trying to be a humorous comedian because you said 200-2004 focus and i was implying that if you found a focus from the year 200 it would probably have stone wheels and those might not be that good for racing

Haha I would have noticed it if I would have realized I made that typo.

Good joke bud.
