I'd rather have it be the bearing in the altinator. Painless to swap out in a good one. But knowing my luck probably is the power steering.
When I had my v6 the power steering was always noisy. Bought a replacement one with new hoses and it was quieter, but still there.

I'll take just about anything other then the power steering pump.....
And it's really ****ing loud. Quiets down a little when it warms up. Last night when I started it after work it was ear pearcing. I could hear it over my exhuast and radio. Sounded cool when the rpm dropped stop I g for the light tho. Made boost noises :lmao

If it doesn't get worse when you turn your wheel it shouldn't be your power steering pump. It is a whine or a squeal?

The tracker blew a tire in rush hour traffic. The 1 good tire out of the 4 I have blew.

I don't think it was your comment that started it as much as it was running's comment. Your comment came out as a joke (I read it that way) running's did not.
Let's be honest, though... calling a thread stupid, in any manor, shouldn't upset any adult as much as it seemed to. I apologized for disturbing his thread in a pm, but I don't think what I said should have actually been offensive to anyone. It's a freaking internet thread and that was my opinion. I rarely say anything negative.

To add, I would never want the thread closed. I was just saying that it was stupid... because it is.

His old dodge is a 360 4 speed 4wd. Cool truck and sounds bad ass. I would almost buy it if it did t have so many issues and was geared so close.

And yeah I'm guessing that's been done with the new truck. Would love to know the power it's making but I'll bet it's probably rivaling our international and freightliner
Not going to lie, I'd love to rock an old 87 W150 like that, although I'd even be happy with a 318 D150. Granted I'd prefer it with a 6BT/NV4500, but still.

And it's nothing to be running 400hp/1000ft-lb on a common rail 6.7 with nothing but a tune, which is hotter than most of the midsize 8.3/9L engines they sell.

I miss seeing all of zips awesome posts here. Life must really be kicking his ass right now seeing how busy he is now
It's not easy servicing all those guys at truckstops. He must be sore. :shiftyeyes

Just got done greasing the control arms and the heim joints on my panhard bar. We will see if that helps my noisy rear end. If not, shocks it is! Bump stops did look like they have seen some action lately, but just sitting normal I only have an 1" to 1-1/2" clearance anyways.
I don't think there's much you can do to quiet down a rear that's using heim joints.

I've put in like 7 hours cutting and grinding but I've at least got one flange prepped for welding. The other one is just going to get some washers and a couple tabs welded in, because this is horseshit. :computer:

I 100% agreed with you. I didn'tlike Lefty's to begin with but so many that close is just annoying in my opinion. Its why I never posted in the other twoebpven if Aarons was a "joke".
